You can take tirzepatide with or without food. The medication is self-administered as a subcutaneous injection in the stomach, thigh, or upper arm once a week on the same day every week. The Science of
Tirzepatide

Tirzepatide is not only a member of the GLP-1 receptor agonists class, which are hormones naturally released in the gastrointestinal tract upon food consumption, but also but also acts on the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor. This dual mechanism of action sets tirzepatide apart from other GLP-1 receptor agonists and contributes to its increased effectiveness for weight loss. When present in higher concentrations than the body typically produces, GLP-1 effectively reduces appetite and increases the sensation of fullness, leading to significant weight loss potential.
